dawn drenched redwood.
Branches catch fog falling like rain.
I am held below by the measured sound.
In-breath and out.
I watched that doe, sudden coyote,

the redwood holds her beggng bowl
empty, washed clean.
Gray-robed monks pass into gray fog.
